Manjarite Island: Hidden Tropical Escape in Labuan Bajo!
7 August 2025 51x Adventure, Boat Trip Komodo, Tips, Travel

Manjarite Island, a small island located in the Komodo National Park (KNP), Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, is becoming a popular tourist destination due to its captivating natural beauty. Although not as popular as Komodo Island or Padar Island, Manjarite Island offers an equally extraordinary natural charm. Known for its soft white sandy beaches, clear waters, and rich marine life, this island is a perfect choice for tourists seeking tranquility and pristine natural beauty.
Manjarite Island is a favorite spot for tourists sailing in the West Manggarai region, especially the Komodo National Park. This is because it is one of the best snorkeling spots in the area. Manjarite is actually the name of an uninhabited island. The island has crystal-clear waters, with minimal currents and only a few waves. Its name is not as well-known as Pink Beach, Batu Bolong, or Taka Makassar.
Manjarite is also a favorite spot in Komodo National Park, as it is more friendly for snorkeling beginners than the others.
Almost every tourist on their first cruise from Labuan Bajo will stop at Manjarite for snorkeling. Although commonly used for snorkeling, Manjarite is said to be no less popular than some of the favorite diving spots in Komodo National Park. With an average depth of 5-8 meters, tourists can see a variety of colorful corals and swarms of ornamental fish.
The coral in the Manjarite area is more diverse and more patterned. Along with the coral, there are also more fish species found at Manjarite.
